The T’s 25th Anniversary was celebrated with a special appearance by T. Boone Pickens, financier and billionaire whose Pickens Plan touts natural gas as the best vehicular fuel alternative. Of course, The T’s vehicles run on natural gas!
As his website says, T. Boone Pickens is a straight shooter who has a way with words. His one-of-a-kind expressions or “booneisms” are legendary. If you missed what T. Boone had to say about energy policy, natural gas possibilities and other topics of interest here in the Barnett Shale then you need to check out this video.
Twenty Chambers of Commerce from all over Tarrant County participate in this popular, annual business-to-business trade show. Annually, more than 1,500 Trade Show visitors browse up to 200 booths ranging from health services and home improvement, to office equipment and shipping solutions.
The 2008 silent auction included American Airlines tickets, sports tickets, hotel stays and restaurant certificates. Also, the Taste of Tarrant “taste-off” included 18 local eateries and all will provide free samples of their signature dishes.
