The North Area is growing and developing at a fast pace. From the historic Stockyards area to the Alliance Airport and Texas Motor Speedway, the I-35 corridor has seen several business parks and hotels spring up on the vast real estate available. Northside has a growing Hispanic population and strong business base that contributes to the multi-cultural spirit of Fort Worth. It is also home to Meacham International Airport, intermodal terminals and, to the northwest, Eagle Mountain Lake. Transportation and workforce development are the two primary issues identified by the North Area Council (NAC) board.
An aerial view looking south from LaGrave Field, home of the Fort Worth Cats minor league baseball team, gives a view into the future of the Trinity River Vision and the future site of the Tarrant County College downtown campus.
