Cyndy Tonniges of TriQuest Technologies received the Job Links Business of the Year award this past May.
The Job Links Business of the Year Award is given to a person or business that actively participates and attends the Job Links meeting. The recipient is a contributor and collaborator. The candidate who receives this recognition is a change agent in employment related topics, a resource and innovator regarding hiring and employment information. Sharing employment information and opportunities through business networking is what this B2B meeting provides. The best candidate for this award advances employment conversation and provides solutions. This award is nominated and voted on by peers.
Cyndy Tonniges has done just that. She has worked at TriQuest Technologies, a small IT company she co-founded with her husband Gary, for 18 years. She wears many hats: Human Resources, Insurance, Recruiting, Marketing, Event Planning and other vital roles. In addition, she has taken time to be an active volunteer in the Job Links program for four years and a part of the Advisory Board since January 2015.
“Cyndy Tonniges is a one-of-a-kind corporate woman,” said Betty Harvey, director of Workforce Development & Military Affairs for the Chamber. “She is a solution-oriented champion, sharing her knowledge and expertise with colleagues. Cyndy has boundless energy, ideas and know-how. She is active on the Job Links Corporate Advisory Board and is generous sharing her time and management skills. When I asked Cyndy if she had registered to attend Job Links to be sure she would be at the meeting, her response was, ‘Yes, I registered today to present jobs. How can I help?’ Little did she know I wanted to be sure she was at the meeting to accept her award.”
“I love Job Links,” said Tonniges. “I love the people involved and have gained more connections for recruiting there than from any other resource.”
Upon receiving her award, Tonniges was both surprised and honored, having been chosen by her peers. She said that she continues to be involved with the series because human resources is part of her job, and she sees Job Links as beneficial and “top-notch” among Chamber networking events. TriQuest Technologies is a 2002 winner of the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award and long-time active member.
Job Links is a two-hour forum on the first Wednesday of (almost) every month for Fort Worth-area employers to present immediate job opportunities to a broad base of candidate providers.
Job Links is free to both the employer and the candidate provider.
