BASIC FUNCTION

Assist in the day-to-day activities and functions for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s events. Excellent customer service and a passion to create a positive energy and excitement for Chamber Investors, staff and volunteers.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

  • Assist VP – Events
  • Responsible and oversees registration process
  • Input all event registrations
  • Perform check in at events
  • Aid in planning all meetings and events for all programs including event setup, teardown, working with vendors, and follow up after events.
  • Update Chamber website for event information
  • Greet and assist all Chamber guests
  • Performs other related duties as required

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in event planning or the equivalent field
  • Must have STRONG database experience and excellent organizational, communication and computer skills. ChamberMaster experience is a plus
  • Requires excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and design skills desired

DECISION-MAKING AND ACTION TAKING

Position requires servicing the needs of investors and staff and working with the team. Must follow clear routines and standing instructions and seek permission to deviate. Ability to make customer service decisions that are consistent with our vision, mission and goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate noise level
Some lifting of up to 50 pounds
Long periods of sitting
Early morning meetings and evening functions
