Manager of College Completion and Career Success

The Manager of College Completion and Career Success serves the Chamber by assisting in the Talent and Quality of Place areas. Help with the Chamber’s efforts in developing, retaining and attracting talent. Work on projects to engage businesses, educational entities, governments, non-profits and the community to develop, attract and retain a quality workforce for current and future economic growth. Work with internal Business Attraction, Marketing and Events staff. Execute Quality of Place initiatives around poverty to increase additional talent in the local workforce. Excellent customer service and a passion for serving others is key to create a positive energy and excitement for Chamber staff and volunteers.



Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

Facilitate alignment of education with industry needs for talent:

  • Support implementation of employer-led industry sector partnerships
  • Assist with business and education field trips
  • Collect K-12, higher education, and workforce data & create reports
  • Develop and improve process for tracking and communicating progress toward achieving talent and quality of place goals
  • Assist colleges in increasing enrollment and completion in high-demand programs and increasing work-based learning experiences with employers
  • Work with colleges and employers to retain local college graduates
  • Meet with employers to understand talent needs
  • Support related Chamber events, committees, and taskforces

Eliminate barriers to college completion and career success:

  • Develop regional ecosystem maps for poverty, childcare, housing, transportation, workforce development, and college & career readiness to identify gaps and overlaps in each ecosystem.
    – Convene stakeholders
    – Collect, analyze, and present data via infographics and whitepapers
    – Assist stakeholders in achieving poverty and housing goals
    – Assist colleges in addressing completion barriers

Market talent solutions

  • Support development of campaign to recognize employers and provide suggestions for talent development, attraction, and retention
  • Assist employers in collaborating with colleges and ISDs to attract, develop, and retain talent

Market Fort Worth region as a talent destination

  • Work with local companies to promote Fort Worth at campus parties, etc.
  • Work with local companies, ISDs, and colleges to attract talent and help candidates consider living and working in Fort Worth
  • Work with local companies to attract diverse US candidates and showcase the Fort Worth region
  • Work with local companies, Fort Worth Sister Cities, and local colleges to attract international talent, navigate visa process for international talent, and showcase the Fort Worth region
  • Work with Visit Fort Worth to attract targeted industry conventions to Fort Worth
  • Entertain targeted and emerging-industry leaders when visiting Fort Worth
  • Support local destination events that attract outside talent
  • Help Chamber marketing team execute a targeted talent attraction campaign towards professionals already residing in DFW
  • Assist the plan to keep graduates from leaving the Fort Worth area
  • Support the Chamber’s SxSW event
  • Manage young professional program



Bachelor’s degree
Must have excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills

Experience working in higher education and/or workforce development
Grant writing experience
Project management experience
Basic social media skills
Basic graphic design skills
Basic video production and editing skills
Graduate or professional degree


Position requires working with investors, staff and the community. Must be able to work in a team environment. Position may require making recommendations regarding matters that are beyond written procedures and determine procedures for major activities.
