DFW’s Newest Headquarters CEO, Walter Bettinger to keynote Fort Worth Chamber’s Annual Meeting

Posted on: 01/29/2020

FORT WORTH - Walter Bettinger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Charles Schwab Corporation, will keynote the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s 138th Annual Meeting April 7, 11:00 a.m., at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.

Bettinger will engage in a conversation with Mike Berry, president of Hillwood. The two will discuss future plans for the Charles Schwab Corporation at their new headquarters in Westlake.

The financial services firm is one of many recent corporate relocations from California to the Dallas-Fort Worth Region. Charles Schwab made the announcement after its $26 billion mega-merger with TD Ameritrade. Hillwood’s Circle T Ranch in Westlake, TX is home to the newly merged headquarters.

The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, partnering with the city of Fort Worth’s economic development office, is making concerted efforts to attract corporate relocations to North Texas, Tarrant County, and particularly Fort Worth.

“Walter’s appearance complements those efforts,” said Brandom Gengelbach, president of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. “He will provide some insight as to what companies are looking for when relocating to the Fort Worth region,” Gengelbach said.

The Annual Meeting, presented by Frost, is one of the Chamber’s largest events of the year, typically attracting more than 800 attendees.
