BASIC FUNCTION:

The Digital Marketing Specialist will drive content strategy, campaign execution, and performance reporting across our digital platforms. This role is best suited for a marketing professional who blends creative execution with an understanding of digital strategy, audience engagement, and analytics.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in shaping how we communicate our mission, programs, and initiatives through strategic, high-quality digital content including social media, newsletters, website, and digital advertising. This position requires a well-rounded marketer with strong creative instincts, a passion for both visual and verbal storytelling, and the ability to capture stories in real time and turn them into high-impact content. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a self-motivated desire to learn and a team-oriented attitude.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

  • Develop and execute a digital marketing content plan to support organizational campaigns and engagement goals.
  • Create short-form digital assets (graphics, photos, videos) for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Write social media captions, blog posts, and newsletters tailored to specific campaigns and audience segments.
  • Design branded graphics using Canva, leveraging existing templates and style guides.
  • Create, maintain, and update weekly email marketing campaigns via Constant Contact, including scheduling and testing.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key metrics related to email engagement, web traffic, digital campaign, and social media performance.
  • Support event coverage with real-time content capture (photo/video), then repurpose for post-event storytelling.
  • Ensure brand voice, tone, and visual standards are consistently applied across all digital platforms.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing collateral and internal presentations as needed.
  • Support internal teams with content needs tied to programs, advocacy efforts, investor relations, and business development.

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years of full-time experience in digital marketing, communications, advertising, or content management.
  • Four-year college degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in content creation and campaign management across digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Canva, Constant Contact, and experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) best practices and performance analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for brand voice and tone.
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills.
  • Personable and confident in representing the Chamber at events and meetings.
  • Portfolio required, showing examples of social media campaigns, graphics, and written content.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some domestic travel
  • Moderate noise level
  • Some lifting of boxes of up to 40 pounds
  • Long periods of sitting
  • Occasional early morning meetings and evening functions
