Henri Nilsen joined the Fort Worth Chamber as Manager of Business Advocacy in April 2024. In his role, he facilitates the Chamber’s Area Boards and supports the SVP of Business Advocacy in Business Retention and Expansion initiatives.
Before joining the Chamber, Henri lived in Washington, D.C., working at the Twenty-First Century Group (TFCG), a prominent boutique government affairs firm led by former Texas Congressman Jack Fields. He later became Director of Operations at TFCG. During his time at TFCG, Henri honed valuable skills in direct advocacy, client management, crisis PR, and network building across government agencies, collaborating directly with the firm’s leadership and their Fortune 100 clients in telecommunications and healthcare.
Henri eventually returned to his hometown of Fort Worth, where he brought his advocacy and network building experience to BGT Strategies. Through the efforts of Henri and his team working alongside the Dallas Housing Coalition, Dallas secured its largest-ever investment towards affordable housing development, allocating $82 million from the $1.25 billion 2024 bond package.
Henri holds a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Finance from Texas Christian University. His favorite part of his job is the need to quickly acquire a deep understanding of various challenges facing our business community and Fort Worth daily to assist an organization.
Outside of work, Henri actively volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association and The ALS Association, dedicating his time to raising funding and awareness to combat these devastating diseases that place a significant burden on the healthcare industry and families. On a more personal level, Henri enjoys perfecting his golf swing, passionately supporting all of TCU’s athletic teams, watching Formula 1, and exploring new corners of the globe with his loved ones and his rescue Husky, Oslo.Â
