Fort Worth Chamber: Connecting Minority-Owned Subcontractors for Success

August 23, 2023

As the FWC focuses on retaining and growing local companies, its volunteers are invaluable. Sonalie Barr, TDIndustries Business Development Manager and valued member of FWC's Business Retention and Expansion Committee, recently connected with a local company, delving into a conversation about current business challenges. This particular company was actively seeking minority-owned subcontractors.

FWC acted as a facilitator, introducing the company to qualified minority-owned subcontractors through email communication. This not only expanded the company's potential partnership options but also demonstrated the Chamber's role as a bridge between businesses and its workforce.

Additionally, the Chamber directed the company to the "Build Fort Worth" event, hosted by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The event, which was held on August 18, offered a prime opportunity for networking and collaboration.

This connection underscores the value of community partnerships and their impact on business growth. By seamlessly blending conversations, business connections, and event promotions, the Chamber exemplifies its commitment to holistic community development. Such collaborations not only uplift individual businesses but also contribute to the overall vitality of the entire community.
