Bob’s 3 Things: Honoring a Legacy of Leadership and Service
March 27, 2026
As Fort Worth continues to grow as one of the most dynamic cities in the country, strong leadership and a spirit of collaboration remain at the heart of that progress. Few leaders have embodied those qualities more fully than Bob Jameson.
As President and CEO of Visit Fort Worth, Bob has played a defining role in shaping the city’s identity as a premier destination—championing the visitor economy, supporting local businesses, and elevating Fort Worth on a national and global stage. Now, as he prepares for retirement, the Fort Worth Chamber is proud to recognize Bob as the recipient of the Susan Halsey Executive Leadership Award, honoring his lasting impact and commitment to the community.
Bob’s signature “Bob’s 3 Things” became a familiar and trusted guide to what’s happening across the city. In that same spirit, we asked Bob to share three reflections as he closes this chapter of his career.
#1 -A Defining Moment for Fort Worth’s Future For Bob, one of the most meaningful milestones of his career is tied to a project that will shape Fort Worth for generations to come—the Convention Center expansion.
“The advancement of the Convention Center project is a historic milestone for our city. The renovation and expansion, alongside the emerging Innovation District, will bring countless new visitors and benefit local business and jobs.”
He points to the broader vision taking shape in downtown, where the Convention Center, Texas A&M’s new campus and Innovation District, and a future convention hotel will serve as a powerful catalyst for economic growth and private investment.
“The Center, after all, is an avenue for introducing people to the city… After decades of planning, the moment is here.”
It’s a reflection not only of progress, but of the long-term partnerships and advocacy efforts that continue to strengthen Fort Worth’s business environment.
#2 - Advice for the Next Generation Looking ahead, Bob encourages future leaders in hospitality and tourism to lead with purpose and perspective.
“Bring a servant’s heart to work with you every day, and you will enjoy an amazing career surrounded by the most giving and dedicated people you can ever hope to meet.”
He emphasizes that success in this field is measured not by individual recognition, but by the impact created for others.
“In hospitality, success is not measured by what we do but by the outcomes reflected in others’ success and joy.”
It’s a philosophy that has defined Bob’s leadership—and one that will continue to influence Fort Worth’s hospitality industry for years to come.
#3 - A Lasting Legacy
Bob Jameson’s career is a testament to the power of partnership, vision, and service. Through his leadership, Fort Worth has strengthened its position as a thriving destination, supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and welcoming visitors from around the world.
His work reflects the very spirit of the Susan Halsey Award—dedication to community, commitment to progress, and a belief in building something greater together.
As Fort Worth looks to the future, Bob’s impact will continue to be felt in the city’s growth, its partnerships, and the countless people and businesses who have benefited from his leadership.
