BOOSTING LOCAL BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT THROUGH BUSINESS WALKS: FORT WORTH CHAMBER'S EXCITING INITIATIVE

September 28, 2023

Since late last year, Business Walks have become a pivotal component of the Fort Worth Chamber's Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) efforts. The organization’s area boards have embraced business walks to engage with small business owners in their respective communities. These face-to-face conversations have proved invaluable in gaining insights into business trends and challenges. In turn, this knowledge empowers the Fort Worth Chamber to bolster and invigorate local economic activity.

In the framework of Business Walks, teams of individuals embark on a mission to connect with local businesses, all within a designated timeframe. Within each duo, one volunteer is tasked with initiating conversations, extending a friendly handshake, and posing the first set of three questions. Meanwhile, another volunteer is responsible for completing a provided survey form and addressing the remaining questions.

As the Fort Worth Chamber plans to expand these efforts in 2024, the organization is seeking dedicated volunteers eager to make a positive impact. Alyssa Al Sabi, Vice President of Commercial Lending at R-Bank and West Area Board member has participated in several FWC Business Walks. Alyssa has graciously agreed to assist in assembling a core group of individuals to lead future Business Walk initiatives and train volunteers.

The Fort Worth Chamber invites business leaders to join this initiative and volunteer to participate in one of 20 business walks planned in 2024. To learn more about this rewarding opportunity, contact Netty Matthews

With the active participation of community members, the Fort Worth Chamber looks forward to further enriching their communities and propelling local businesses to new heights.
