Fort Worth’s New Customer Service Hub: A Major Step Forward for Efficiency and Business Growth

Fort Worth is making a major leap in efficiency with the opening of its new centralized customer service hub at City Hall. Located on the fifth floor of the new City Hall at 100 Fort Worth Trail, this center is designed to simplify the process for residents, developers, and businesses seeking in-person assistance. The hub brings together key services like Development Services, Water Bill Pay, and several other essential departments into one convenient location, making it easier than ever to access city services.

Mayor Mattie Parker, along with other city officials, celebrated the opening of the new hub on August 19, emphasizing its potential to improve the customer experience and streamline business interactions with the city. The centralized service area is positioned as a one-stop shop to speak to every department required to receive a building permit including Transportation and Public Works, Neighborhood Services, Parks and Recreation, and more.

The new service center is a key element of Fort Worth’s strategy to further expand an already strong business-friendly environment. The consolidation of essential services is especially beneficial for developers and entrepreneurs looking to set up or expand their businesses. With the ability to handle everything from permits to utility applications in one place, businesses can now move more quickly through city processes, helping them get up and running faster.

D.J. Harrell, Fort Worth’s Director of Development Services, highlighted the city’s dedication to improving efficiency, stating, "All city departments are aligned in our shared goal to provide reviews and consultations faster than ever, and city permitting has never been easier." This streamlined approach is poised to reduce delays and ensure that Fort Worth remains an attractive destination for businesses looking to grow.

Not only will this new hub benefit businesses, but it also enhances the overall customer experience for all Fort Worth residents. By consolidating services such as water bill payments and applications alongside other key departments, the city is ensuring that individuals can handle multiple tasks in a single visit, cutting down on time and reducing the need to travel between locations. The center's regular hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., provide convenient access for all.

In addition, residents can schedule appointments in advance through the Development Services website to help streamline the process even further, ensuring that residents and developers alike can manage their time effectively.

This new hub is not just a response to immediate needs, but part of a broader vision for Fort Worth’s growth. By investing in streamlined service delivery, Fort Worth is reinforcing its commitment to economic development and solidifying its status as a business-friendly city. The centralized customer service hub ensures the city is prepared to meet the demands of its growing population while providing businesses with the support they need to thrive.

This initiative represents a decisive advancement in Fort Worth’s ongoing effort to become a more competitive, efficient, and business-friendly city. As Fort Worth continues to grow and attract new opportunities, the new service center will be key to supporting a thriving local economy and ensuring the city remains a dynamic place to live, work, and invest.
