JUDGING CONCLUDES FOR FORT WORTH CHAMBER'S SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARDS

A rigorous judging process for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year Awards, concluded on Friday, September 8. The Awards, presented by Bank of Texas, recognize and honor Fort Worth small businesses that have demonstrated exemplary "Best Practices" in business. These awards celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation that defines Fort Worth's business landscape.  

“It takes special dedication to excellence to achieve this recognition and judging this year provided a look into some wonderful companies and business leaders.” said Derrick Potter of Firefighting’s Finest, a former winner and one of this year's judges, “Being a winner from 2016 provides an interesting perspective during the judging process. Congratulations to all the finalists. They should all be very proud of this accomplishment.” 

The announcement of the finalists on August 18 generated excitement throughout the community. These businesses, representing diverse industries, showcase Fort Worth's entrepreneurial talent. View category finalists below: 

  • 1 TO 20 EMPLOYEES 
  • 21 TO 50 EMPLOYEES 
  • 51 TO 150 EMPLOYEES 
  • EMERGING BUSINESS 

Judging criteria included talent attraction, retention and training, top business challenges faced and addressed in 2022, and community involvement.  

The winners will be revealed at the 2023 State of the City event, presented by Simmons Bank. To register, visit fortworthchamber.com. The event will also be live streamed on Fort Worth Television (FWTV) online, on YouTube, and on local cable.
