New Interactive Reporting Site for FWC Business Retention and Expansion Efforts

April 18, 2023

The FWC Area Boards and Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Committee have been enhancing and fine-tuning their quarterly reporting website to offer a host of additional resources for users.

The site offers visual comparisons of data broken down by geographical area, industry, and company size. Through this new reporting tool, it is now easier to capture trends and challenges in the local business economy.

The information presented in these interactive reports was gathered from conversations with local companies; the opinions expressed by those companies do not reflect the opinions of the Fort Worth Chamber, its affiliates, or employees.

2022 Q1 AND 2023 Q2 SIMILARITIES:

Talent and supply chain continue to be among the top concerns for local Fort Worth companies.

2022 Q1 AND 2023 Q2 CHANGES:

Reports show a 200% increase in concern about the economy, which appears to be connected to the increase in the number of conversations in these two industry segments:

  1. Professional, scientific, and technical services
  2. Information

Reports show a 200% increase in homelessness concerns, particularly in the West and South areas of Fort Worth.

Reports show a 300% increase in concerns around traffic, which are primarily related to construction on I-35 and the cost of driving in Tarrant County. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, nationwide travel on roads has increased 5.6% so far this year compared to last year.
