South Hulen Businesses Show Strength, Stability in Recent Chamber Walk

April 23, 2025

The Fort Worth Chamber’s West Area Board conducted a targeted business walk on April 18 in the South Hulen Street corridor, connecting with local businesses to gauge economic sentiment, uncover challenges, and offer support. Launching from the Simmons Bank branch on South Hulen - hosted by branch leader Drew Eisele – the walk covered the commercial stretch between Bellaire Drive and Vickery Boulevard.

A team of dedicated volunteers, including Eisele and his colleague Jay Bensen of Simmons Bank, Alexander Chandler of Compass Realty, and Rick Sapp from Fort Worth ISD, visited both Chamber member and non-member businesses throughout the area. Their mission was to collect on-the-ground insights into the local business climate and assess how the Chamber might provide additional support.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Business owners and managers reported strong sales and expressed confidence in their operations. The consensus is that the South Hulen business climate is stable and thriving.

Volunteers shared the Chamber’s Homelessness Toolkit with businesses that reported occasional disturbances. While the incidents are uncommon, the businesses were grateful for access to practical tools and guidance for handling these situations.

The walk offered Chamber staff and volunteers an opportunity to listen, learn, and share resources with local businesses—reflecting the Chamber’s commitment to building a strong, connected business community. Through these efforts and your continued investment, the Chamber continues to support Fort Worth’s vision of being a thriving community to grow and do business.
