STREAMLINING BUSINESS RELOCATIONS TO FORT WORTH: AN EXCITING INITIATIVE AHEAD

September 14, 2023

In a bid to enhance the ease of relocating businesses to the vibrant city of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Chamber (FWC) and the City of Fort Worth are collaborating on an innovative onboarding process. Drawing insights from conversations with companies that have relocated in the past two years, the initiative aims to simplify the transition for businesses and their employees.

Below are the key areas identified for assistance in this effort:

  1. FACILITATING CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES: Companies will be connected with the City of Fort Worth Development Department, ensuring that construction processes are streamlined, and businesses are up and running swiftly.
  1. MEETING CONSTRUCTION DEADLINES: Connecting with local utilities is another essential facet of the process. This helps in determining construction deadlines, ensuring that projects stay on track and within budget.
  1.  WORKFORCE SUPPORT: To address workforce needs, businesses will be connected with Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County and other relevant workforce institutions and organizations.
  1. ENGAGING WITH LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES: Companies will be connected to their City Council members to establish a local presence and valuable relationships.
  1. NETWORKING WITH NEIGHBORS: To foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie, businesses will be advised to connect with other businesses in their vicinity, creating a supportive local network.

One exciting goal in this initiative is to develop a program that welcomes new employees to Fort Worth. This not only supports businesses but also ensures that their employees feel at home in their new city.

The onboarding initiative holds the potential to benefit local companies that are expanding, as their needs often align with those of relocating companies.

In a rapidly evolving business landscape, streamlining the relocation process is a forward-thinking move. By identifying and addressing the specific needs of businesses, Fort Worth is reaffirming its commitment to being a welcoming and supportive destination for companies and their employees.

As this initiative takes shape, it promises to be a win-win situation for both Fort Worth and the businesses that choose to call this dynamic city home. Watch this space for further updates on this exciting development.
