Welcome, Fort Worth + ASI Robots

July 31, 2025

This week, the Fort Worth Chamber and its North Area Board joined Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) and key community partners to celebrate the grand opening of ASI’s new Fort Worth office in Alliance. FWC North Area Council members showed up in mass, a powerful example of the Welcome, Fort Worth (WFW) program in action, all thanks to an introduction by Hillwood.

ASI, a global leader in industrial vehicle automation, has transformed industries like heavy construction, agriculture, logistics, and landscaping with its cutting-edge technology. The company developed the Mobius® autonomous fleet management system and produces advanced robotic hardware and software that enables entire fleets—large or small—to operate safely and autonomously.

Founded in 2000 by a team of engineers who brought research from Utah State University into the commercial sector, ASI has grown into one of the world’s largest privately held robotics-focused companies. Its headquarters and 100-acre proving ground are located in Northern Utah, with additional offices in Salt Lake City and now, Fort Worth.

Welcome, Fort Worth, a partnership between the Fort Worth Chamber, the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, is a flexible onboarding initiative that helps new companies get connected quickly and effectively. Each partnering organization above is represented by a Co-Chair for the program.

Each business that enters the program begins with a needs assessment, which guides how WFW partners can provide tailored support. The support expected from the Chamber and our partners can include connecting the company with education institutions for workforce development, introductions to the various utility companies, and introductions to City of Fort Worth Development leaders to begin a smooth process into site development/planning. It is important to note that WFW is provided to businesses regardless of whether they are members of the Chamber or not.

For ASI, the Chamber’s North Area Council and the Welcome, Fort Worth team helped promote their celebration, ensuring the company received a warm and high-impact introduction to the Fort Worth business community. Ben Robertson, Co-Chair of Welcome, Fort Worth for the Chamber and President of TEI Consulting, addressed the crowd and welcomed ASI CEO Mel Torrie, thanking him for choosing Fort Worth. He emphasized the privilege it is for the city — and the Welcome, Fort Worth program — to support companies at the forefront of innovation and to help further diversify Fort Worth’s growing business community.

While ASI is a global leader in industrial vehicle automation, the celebration highlighted something uniquely Fort Worth, a community that believes in coming together to support innovation, growth, and long-term success. By bringing the right partners to the table at the right time, the Welcome, Fort Worth program ensures that new businesses like ASI are not just opening doors, they are stepping into a network ready to help them thrive.

If trade were a game of Monopoly, President Trump just bought half the board and raised rent on everyone — again.
