Fort Worth Chamber Energy Council Hosts Trisha Curtis for Special Speaker Series

October 8, 2025

The Fort Worth Chamber’s Energy Council recently hosted Trisha Curtis, President and CEO of PetroNerds, LLC, as part of its Special Speaker Series sponsored by RHR Capital and Whitley Penn. Curtis, a leading energy economist and strategist, founded PetroNerds in 2015 after serving as Director of Research for Upstream and Midstream at the Energy Policy Research Foundation, Inc. (EPRINC) in Washington, D.C., and as Manager for Strategy and Analytics at Anschutz Exploration in Denver. Her firm specializes in macroeconomic research and consulting focused on U.S. shale markets and global energy trends.

During her presentation, Curtis offered an in-depth analysis of the rapidly shifting energy landscape—discussing how policy changes under the current administration, global market volatility, and China’s evolving energy demand are shaping U.S. production and investment outlooks. She emphasized the importance of data-driven decision-making in navigating these complex dynamics and highlighted opportunities for Fort Worth’s energy sector to remain competitive amid global uncertainty.

Reflecting on the event, Ryan Haggerty, Co-Chair of the Energy Council, shared, “The event with Trisha Curtis was a powerful reminder of why the Energy Council was established. The room was filled with an engaged audience, eager to absorb Trisha’s exceptional depth of knowledge and insights on energy markets and geoeconomics. Trisha noted that she had never been invited to speak at a city Chamber event before and commended the Chamber for offering such meaningful and informative programming.”

The Energy Council’s Special Speaker Series continues to bring together industry experts and business leaders to exchange ideas on energy innovation, policy, and the market forces shaping the regional economy. Curtis’s presentation prompted thoughtful discussion among attendees and underscored the Chamber’s commitment to fostering collaboration and shared insight within Fort Worth’s energy community.
