Willie Billups, a member of the inaugural Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Accelerator cohort, acquires Normark of Texas, LLC
FORT WORTH, Texas – Tarrant County College (TCC) is celebrating the success of ETA Accelerator alumnus Willie Billups, who successfully acquired Normark of Texas, LLC, a North Texas transportation and logistics company providing first- and final-mile delivery, airport transfer, cross-docking, storage, and regional freight services.
Willie participated in the inaugural ETA Accelerator cohort in April 2025. His success illustrates the potential of entrepreneurship through acquisition and demonstrates how aspiring entrepreneurs can pursue business ownership through education, strategic planning, and execution.
Offered through TCC's Lifestyle and Community Learning division, the ETA Accelerator equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, and network needed to evaluate, acquire, and grow existing businesses. The program provides practical insights into business acquisition, due diligence, financing strategies, and ownership transition planning.
“Participating in the ETA Accelerator helped me better understand the acquisition process and gave me greater confidence in pursuing a new venture. Acquiring Normark of Texas has been an incredible opportunity, and I'm grateful for the knowledge, connections, and insights I gained along the way. I hope my experience encourages others to consider entrepreneurship through acquisition as a path to owning and growing a business.”
– Willie Billups, Owner, Normark of Texas, LLC
In addition to celebrating participant success, TCC continues to expand opportunities for future entrepreneurs.
Tarrant County College secured $225,000 in acquisition support funding, with qualified participants potentially eligible to receive up to $50,000 to support a business acquisition.
“We're proud to celebrate Willie's success and the impact of the ETA Accelerator. Business acquisition represents a powerful pathway to entrepreneurship, and Willie's journey demonstrates the opportunities that exist for individuals who are willing to invest in learning, explore new possibilities, and take the next step toward business ownership.”
– Richard Chance, Dean, Lifestyle and Community Learning, Tarrant County College
The ETA Accelerator is offered twice annually, with the next cohort scheduled for October 21-23. Led by industry professionals and experienced practitioners, the program provides participants with practical strategies and real-world insights for evaluating, acquiring, and growing existing businesses.
