An issue that has emerged more frequently in recent discussions revolves around homelessness and its potential ramifications for businesses in the Fort Worth area.
To help us better understand the business community’s sentiments on this issue, the Fort Worth Chamber is conducting a brief survey and requests your participation. A new report released by the Bank of America Institute reveals that childcare payments have risen more than 30% since 2019. Reports published by the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing indicate that statewide during the same period, the median price of childcare for a toddler increased by 20%, from $30/day to $36/day.
To help lower operating costs, the Fort Worth Chamber supports the passage of Prop 2, which would allow cities and counties to offer property tax relief to childcare facilities.
