Last Call: Feb. 5 Voter Registration Deadline

Texas will host its primary elections on Tuesday, March 5. To vote in the primary, Texans must be registered by February 5. Voter registration applications can be found on the Tarrant County Elections website. If you are unsure of your current voter registration status, you can check it online here.

For a summary of the list of candidates who have filed for different races on the primary ballot, refer to this previous FWC Policy Pulse update or view the complete list compiled by the Fort Worth Report. Below are some additional important dates to be aware of:

  • February 5: Last day to register to vote
  • February 23: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail
  • February 20 – March 1: Early voting

Why it matters: Policy decisions made at all levels of government will impact markets, businesses, and employees. It is crucial for business-minded people to research different candidates and make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Quick Fact: 286,362 people voted in Tarrant County during the last Presidential primary cycle in 2020.
