This summer, Curly’s Frozen Custard is celebrating two milestones rooted in the Fort Worth community: 24 years of serving neighbors on Camp Bowie Boulevard and 20 years as a member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
Curly’s opened on July 12, 2002, at 4017 Camp Bowie Boulevard, where it remains today. From the beginning, the goal was to create more than a place to grab dessert. Curly’s was designed as a welcoming neighborhood gathering spot where families, friends, and four-legged companions could slow down, enjoy a treat, and spend time together.
Fort Worth has no shortage of places to find something cold and sweet. What has kept Curly’s connected to its customers for more than two decades is not simply what it serves, but the way it serves the community around it.
Its rich frozen custard is the foundation of a menu that includes concretes, sundaes, shakes, ice cream sandwiches, and Nathan’s Famous hot dogs. Curly’s also offers rotating seasonal flavors, including its highly anticipated Parker County Peach frozen custard, made with peaches grown in the surrounding community.
The flavor has become a summer tradition for many local families and has helped Curly’s earn repeated recognition as one of Fort Worth’s favorite destinations for a frozen treat, including a recent 360West Reader Favorite honor.
The Curly’s experience extends beyond the menu. Its patio, walk-up window, and drive-through have made the Camp Bowie location a familiar part of family outings, neighborhood routines, and celebrations for generations of customers.
Curly’s is part of Westland Hospitality, a Fort Worth-based hospitality group that brings together neighborhood restaurants, gathering spaces, catering, and events. Across Curly’s and the group’s other concepts, the mission is simple: Make the Moment Special.
Community traditions have also become part of the Curly’s story. Each Fourth of July, Curly’s gives away free Nathan’s Famous quarter-pound hot dogs to its first guests of the day. In 2026, the first 250 guests received a free hot dog in recognition of America’s 250th birthday. The event continued a six-year tradition centered on bringing neighbors together and giving something back to the people who have supported the business.
That community-focused approach is also what makes Curly’s relationship with the Fort Worth Chamber meaningful.
“For Curly’s, Chamber membership has always been about staying connected to the community we serve,” said Bourke Harvey, founder and managing partner of Curly’s Frozen Custard. “The Chamber helps local businesses build relationships, remain informed, and have a stronger collective voice as Fort Worth continues to grow. We are proud to have been part of that community for 20 years.”
Through its focus on relationships, engagement, and local business advocacy, the Chamber helps create an environment where businesses can support one another and participate in Fort Worth’s continued growth. Those priorities closely reflect the values that have guided Curly’s since its earliest days.
After 24 years, Curly’s remains proudly planted on the bricks of Camp Bowie. Fort Worth continues to grow, and customers have more choices than ever, but Curly’s has stayed true to what made it special in the first place: friendly service, a welcoming patio, and a place where families, friends, and neighbors can enjoy a treat together.
As Curly’s celebrates 20 years with the Fort Worth Chamber, the team remains grateful for the customers, employees, business partners, and community relationships that have shaped its story. Curly’s looks forward to continuing that tradition, making more moments special and serving Fort Worth for many years to come.
